Due to continued growth, Markhams are now seeking a permanent Clerk of Works. As an established Quantity Surveying and Cost Consultancy practice, primarily acting as Employer’s Agent on new build housing projects for Registered Social Landlords, we are seeking a Clerk of Works to join our Team and provide a Quality Assurance/Quality Assessment role on various residential developments. Projects will be primarily based in North West England.
The ideal candidate for this role will:-
- Be computer literate and have experience using the range of Microsoft Programs (Excel, Word etc.)
- Be able to produce electronic weekly reports
- Have a full UK Driving Licence and a car
- Have excellent communication skills and be able to develop relationships with other Project Team members
- Be experienced in the construction industry and have advanced knowledge and experience of Construction Methods, Technologies, Regulations and Contracts (JCT)
- Have significant experience providing Clerk of Works services on new build developments (preferably for Housing Association clients)
- Be a member of The Institute of Clerks of Works and Construction Inspectorate (ICWCI), Chartered Institute of Building (CIOB), or equivalent
